Enabling Grids is a great help when aligning objects or laying out elements.
To enable Grids, click on the grid icon
Click the button to enable "Snap to Grid"
You can also increase and decrease grid size for more accuracy, and adjust snap strength. Low snap strength allows you to smoothly move objects on the canvas; higher snap strength will make objects snap on every grid when moved.

How do I turn off snapping in the timeline? Every time I try to move an element it snaps it to the start or end point of an unrelated element.
